excerpt: "How does a dinosaur say good nightThis delightful book captivates the reader with the whimsical depiction of different dinosaurs being put to bed by human parents. Each dinosaur is identified by its species name cleverly hidden on the headboard of its bed or on its blanket, etc. The dinosaurs' cheerful acceptance of bedtime is a not so subtle example to the young reader, but the lesson is sugar coated via the engaging art work and poetry. There are also imaginative pictures of each dinosaur on the inside of the front and back covers. Jane Yolen has written more than two hundred books, including Owl Moon which was awarded the Caldecott Medal. She has also won the World Fantasy Award, the Regina Medal, the Nebula and the Golden Kite Award. Mark Teague has delighted young readers with more than twenty picture books, and he has written many of them himself, including the popular Pigsty, Baby Tamer, and One Halloween Night. Highly Recommended. Luella Sumner is the librarian at Red Rock Public Library in Red Rock, ON.
