excerpt:
First, a pack of dinosaurs help the reader count to ten, and then there is a switch to a recital of the alphabet, complete with dinosaur names that begin with the corresponding letters. Any child who possesses a fascination with dinosaurs is likely to be tickled by this brightly illustrated work. Children will catch these dinosaurs picking flowers, having drinks, and flying kites. Even the 10 terrible Tyrannosaurs have a slightly comical appearance. Of course, anyone who reads this book aloud to a child may find the names of the dinosaurs very difficult to pronounce. Fortunately, for those who have not specialized in paleontology and like to read ahead, you will find a list of pronunciations at the end of the book. Whew! Dinosaur lovers are sure to find this a fun book. Recommended. Christina Neigel is an instructor for the Library and Information Technology Program at the University College of the Fraser Valley which is located in Abbotsford, BC.
