Your House, My House
Your House, My House
The Rabbit family is getting ready for a birthday party. The Foxes are expecting a very special delivery. The Cat family is moving in upstairs. And what is Mr. Owl up to in the attic?
This multilayered and delightful picture book by award-winning author and illustrator Marianne Dubuc contains several stories within its colorful illustrations. The detailed and intricate visual stories on every page will inspire conversation and imagination about a collection of animal families living in one apartment complex, including the surrounding tree! Each animal family has a tale to tell, from the cat family moving in, the rabbit family celebrating a birthday, to what looks like the countdown for the hedgehog father to come home from a trip.
Your House, My House is a sweet story about friendship and inclusion that can only add another interactive level to story time. Each family in the story is going to be relatable to the young reader, and the discovery of new details on every page will feel like a special kind of treasure hunt! Colors, shapes, and grouping would be a bonus exercise for teaching children to look beyond the story being told. Your House, My House is a highly recommended purchase for libraries and home bookshelves.
