Scaredy Squirrel Goes Camping
Scaredy Squirrel Goes Camping
Scaredy Squirrel never goes camping. He’d rather be comfortable inside than risk going out in the rugged wilderness. Besides, setting up camp seems like a lot of trouble.
Scaredy Squirrel is back, and the much-loved rodent is going camping. This story follows the now familiar graphic format of the “Scaredy Squirrel” series while continuing to be humorous and charming.
Scaredy Squirrel is quite content living in his tree outside a campground. Of course, he is too afraid of the outside world—especially, penguins, quicksand, and mosquitos—to have explored the campground. Instead, Scaredy Squirrel has decided to experience camping by watching a TV show called “The Joy of Camping”. The only problem is that he will need to traverse the campground in order to plug in the extension cord for his TV.
As in other books in this series, Scaredy Squirrel must develop a plan to overcome his anxieties and achieve his goal, and, once he does, he discovers there were unplanned benefits to going out of his comfort zone. Like many of Mélanie Watt’s previous books, this one is full of silly charts and diagrams that readers will love. Scaredy Squirrel Goes Camping is a welcome addition to the “Scaredy Squirrel” series and is sure to be beloved by readers.
