The Great Puptective
The Great Puptective
A crime scene!!!
Somebody broke Mom’s flowerpot…
Someone with very cute pawprints.
Truffles the cat lives a life of leisure. He naps in the sunshine, plays with his many toys, and eats his meals in peace. Until one day, a boisterous puppy named Poppy arrives, and Truffles’ world is turned upside down. Poppy proudly calls herself The Puptective. What is the mail carrier up to outside? Who wedged a ball under the fridge? Why can’t Poppy jump on the couch? Poppy’s world is full of mysteries yet to be solved, and she is determined to let nothing slip her notice. Truffles watches in dismay as his new companion gets into mischief while he is blamed for the mess and disruption. He is irritated and flustered. There’s only one solution to his problems; he must make Poppy disappear! What unfolds is a laugh-out-loud caper involving boxes, blankets, and a bit of humility. Through Truffles, readers come to appreciate that not all friends must be alike, and that being kind is the foundation of any healthy relationship. Tysoe’s manga-style illustrations leap off the page, lending the story movement and humour.
The Great Puptective is the first in a high energy graphic novel series bound to delight middle grade audiences.
